EDIT: Ok, link has been fixed by request....if you remember, this is my track submitted for the Delerium - After All remix contest. I didn't win, but have been told be DJs that they preferred my version over Satoshi Tomiie's remix. So I'm rather proud of the work I did on it.

I hope you enjoy this oldie but goodie from 2003.

Thanks for the bump, Nils...you crazy-man. cheers

the joke is on you because once you compress, you can't UNcompress, even if you change the bit rate lol

Your sound is good man but there is quite a bit of empty space in the spectrum that could be filled....
Nice work with the filters and Antares Autotune on the vocal if indeed that was your work!!!

thanks, yeah I kept it quite minimal...hopefully not too minimal hehe

all i did on the vocals was some slight filtering, reverb, and delay...I think some of the effect you're referring to was from the original samples.

thanks for the critique! happy

all drums were programmed in Reason, correct grin2

thanks happy

I was just thinking about why it sounds a little empty, and I think part of the fact is that I use a long bassline...not too much movement in the bass, but I really wanted a deep and emotional bassline... I tried picking up the second half with some breakbeats, but not sure if that helped much =

There is just enough going on at the bottom end and minimal amount in the mid with the vocal, but the mid-top and top end has plenty of room to fill......

But as you say, you kept it like this for a purpose which does work. If anything maybe fill the gaps with some lush reverb to give it more depth and atmosphere at least on the Vox pad when its in the mix.

Overall, nice job...not really my style, i've never been much of a vocal trance person  But nevertheless, a nice production! Good job, Rich!
