Now hold on a sec. I have several great gay friends. I hang out with them as often as I can. I call them gay and fag all the time as a joke and they laugh about it just as much as I do. Usually with a quirky response to follow that gets me rolling on the ground. They are the funniest, kindest people I know. They make fun of me for being straight all the time. Its funny. I think homosexuality is just as funny as racism. I'm white and my favorite comedy is when they make fun of white people. Stop being so offended and get over it. Seriously. cheers

Although I can relate and definitely agree with you to an extent (remember, I did say I can take jokes), you can't just expect that everybody on these forums understands your sarcastic sense of humor, which exists between you and your buddies. Although it's very unlikely, you may just accidentally offend somebody somehow, or give them the wrong impression, and that's something nobody wants to do.

I, too, have a ton of gay friends, and we make a big joke out of sexuality and stereotypes. It's hilarious, I admit. But I keep those personal jokes between my friends and I because I know they actually understand I don't really mean it.

Oh, hush and go listen to your beaner music! grin

See what I mean? Not so fun now, is it?

mmmm beaner no!! left ohh why beaner?!!

narcomusic? puh

drug trafficking music? puh

Hehe, I am glad you have a nonchalant and humorous approach to this. grin2 I do too, but I am just trying to convey the point that making vague, meaningless sexual-orientation jokes is no different from making racial or religious ones. Of course I didn't mean the "beaner music" reference; I was just using that term in a phrase as an example of my point.

As for me, I listen to white trash country music. Howdy ya'll! lol

aparently, the lack of original words can come from a number of things

1 the majority here is gay

2 the majority here likes gays

3 the majority thinks saying the word "gay" in front of something they don't like makes them somehow look more cool

4 the majority here doesn't have immagination or creativity for that matter

my 4 cents, now if you'll excuse me. I have to get rid of some t-shirts, they're soooooo 2009.

apparently you think pointing out this "fact" makes you cool.....

replying doesn't work again

fucking hell, typed twice this HUGE reply, and twice i get logged out when submitting...

Third time: Its not about jokes meant as jokes, but about the 'routine' that is has become.

I make jokes about it myself calling friends 'stupid gays' or whatever. But thats all in the ' puh ' setting. On the internet, that is not the case.

It just annoys me that 'gay' is always linked with negativity. I believe it affects the perception of kids (fuck, even less intelligent adults!) gets worse because of it. Nobody wants to be gay when it only means negativity. It doesn't help 'acceptance' in general.

Its just a stupid trend coming from the USA and we need to get rid of it.

Yeah I always stop at 'thinking' that I should do that, but pressing 'submit' anyway.

Just like in Cubase.. working HOURS on something thinking each 10 minutes "Hey I should save...!". Then BANG, crash, everything gone.. Maybe I should rethink my strategy...

wow cheers

Haha, well I've developed this kind of tic, when writing a document, spreadsheet, programming, making music etc. I always hit ctrl+s like every few seconds, lol lol It's quite bad, I write just one sentence, ctrl+s. Correct a mistake, ctrl+s. Start writing a sentence, pause to think how to continue, ctrl+s lol

I have this habit also - but in some programs ctrl+s also wipes the undo history, which causes a right kufuffle 'cos you can't ctrl+z

I've been curious. There is a difference between "being curious" and "fantasizing". Get it right.
