Usually one release on a CD is what I do.

I then order them on tempo. I write the key's and the tempo's on the CD's.

I don't understand what the point of putting one song on a cd is? As far as djing goes why would you do that? That's alot of cd's!

Makes it easier to find tracks. When you burn 10 on each, it will be harder to find that one track when your playing.
Also, you can sort the tracks easier. Maybe on BPM, maybe on key, or alphabet, whatever.

Besided, when you burn only a few tracks, like original and a remix, only the middle edges gets burned. Not the area on the outside of the disc, which is usually the place where you might touch the CD with fingers e.d. In other words, you avoid CD's messing up.

I also do 1 track per CD. Labelled with artist, track name, mix name, BPM, key, label & release date.

I also have a big spreadsheet to help remember specifics about tracks (it's hard with a bunch of faceless CDR's lol). The label isn't really important either I only did it in case I ever wanted to do a "best of" mix or whatever for a specific label at some point in the future.

Hehe, I have a big word-document with BPM's and Key's in it. thumbsup

A good way of starting with mixing in key I believe. Gotta start somewhere right?

I should start organizing them on key and bpm. That's the way to go for sure if you take mixing serious.

I burn everything to CD according to release. So it goes Singles, Albums, and Compilations. Yeah, means I use a LOT of CDs, but it makes it a LOT easier for me to find things.

I also have multiple CD wallets, for different genres. Epic, Prog, Hard, Tech Trance and techno occupy their own wallet, Psy, Goa, Nitzhonot, Darkpsy, etc, have their own, House, electro, have their own, hardcore and hardstyle their own...

When I make my own compilations, I try to lump as many random tracks/ remixes by certain producers together when possible, so I have an easier tome sorting through who's who.

I try to keep everything as neat and organized as I can, so when I'm spinning live, I know what is on what CD, and WHERE it is on the CD.

As for keys and the like, I have most of my music committed to memory anyway, so I just defer to memories for picking tracks that work harmonically, sonically, and tempo-wise.

I've never took into consideration putting one track onto a CD and labelling it with the key, quite a good tip in itself I suppose thumbsup

As for myself I usually just try to keep the BPM's in a small range and try stick to the same genre, it's hell when I can't find a track, but it's what I'm used to I guess.

Even though I DJ just as a hobby, organisation helps quite a lot, and saves time.

Slightly off-topic but being more of a listener than a DJ I can't add a track in iTunes or my mobile player without adding a cover to the album/single . Right after download I use mp3tag to grab the cover and only then I drag in player.
I mean we are in almost 2011 after all ..
