i've thought of that too, but the only reason for me to apply for the job of mod here on t.nu was because i saw that the site was going downhill, even before twan quit. i really don't know if would be a good mod or anything, but i do wanna help out. i love this site.

maybe i'm lucky tommie never replied puh.

same here lol
(and i thought i was the only one who sent Tommie a PM regarding helping out as a moderator^^)

This site needs a lot more than two moderators, this forum is quite big and not every moderator can be online all the time. I moderated a small forum with about 250 users for a year and it was quite some work.

Well I think it's mostly about deleting posts from spambots, moving new topics to the correct subforum, removing capslock in titles, removing links to tracks, sets, etc.
I think we're all getting along really well, t.nu is a pretty civilised place (sometimes a little rough for new members though lol ), so there's rarely a need to give out warnings.

Bottom line: Of course more mods would be better, but two should be able to do the job well. Worst thing that can happen is that a downloadlink to a track is online for several hours^^

nothing, we've offered our help, he did read the PMs, now it's his turn.
(of course we could start spamming him with PMs and emails, but that's not okay)

Well, not that much, but in the past I had to remove LOTS of topics and ban IPs etc from several spambots. Today a spambot found this site as well, but the topics are still here...

Given the amount of active users this place doesn't deserve more than 1 mod, even with 10 mods it's hard to eliminate spam bots instantly unless you find a mod with enough free time to keep refreshing his browser every 5 seconds.
DM is already doing all he can considering half the time he is forced to deal with nagging retards, repetitive posts and threads.

yup, I feel the same. After more than six years on here (most was day by day visit, I'm addicted!) I feel connected to this place more than any other in the internet.

I just recalled that I was unofficially offered becoming mod here some (long) time ago, but I didn't make the decision until it, well, "timed out".

But still, the situation isn't that dramatic, don't panic. Anyway, I remember the time when almost all people from staff list used to visit and control what is happening on the site. Like all "old times" they seem better in my memories. happy
