Hey,

I have an original Windows7 copy i got with my laptop but the home edition and i was wondering would it be better to install that on my PC and use it for production, or use my windows vista copy from my older laptop and install that on my PC? Im going to reinstall my windows anyways so I was wondering which one would be better for production? (Speed wise, and also to be able to work with VSTs etc, and if there is anything else I should be concerned about happy

Thanks.

I don't think it really matters, I think as long as your computer is up to par for producing it should be fine. alienhead

As long as you don't go with Vista, you'll be fine.

I have never had any problems with Windows Vista and I am also using Win Vista while making music. *confused*

Well I was exaggerating a lot, Vista isn't that bad actually - it's stable, it's not incredibly slow, it's secure. But Windows 7 is better wink XP too, imo.

Well yeah Vista is what you should avoid in general...

I was running Win7 & Cubase5 without any problems, but I decided to downgrade to XP for a change and guess what, I won't revert back to 7. XP are just so much lighter... thumbsup
