Done alot of research but of course, just like the next guy, I'd like to hear what you thought I should be looking at with this kind of budget. Like for any advice.

Also I need an external or pci soundcard that will help take the strain off my cpu and give me some nice sound. (different budget)

In that case, with that budget, I would most certainly recommend the KRK RP6 G2's.

They really offer the most in that price range. They are very up-front I think.

If he's willing to spend a little more he could go for the Adam A7's or the Mackie HR624mk2's both of which are fantastic and offer a little more for the little price jump.

The Dynaudio's rock - but I would generally avoid 5" drivers. If you spend a little more then get the BM6A's and you will never regret it.

I have used the BM6A's and have tried the Adam A7's out in a shop.

But the reason I suggested the Adam A7's is because they are cheaper than the Dynaudio's and are in your prce range...

The dynaudio's are very pricey...

The Adam A7's deliver superb results for the price. I prefer the Dynaudio's but only very marginally.

Is $750 good price for a *pair of Adam A7's new?

What kind of prices do these usually sell for?

That is good.

In the UK the cheapest I can get them for is £674 which at today's rate is $1,053 USD.

http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/adam-a7-active-nearfield-monitor--35780 (in this link they sell the monitors individually so you have to buy two)

That is why I originally said that they are a little out of your range.

Grab them while you can dude! That does seem like a very good deal. grin2

I would forget the Adams, they have a horrible sound! (for my ears) I would either go for Focals CMS65 or the BM6A MKI not MKII.
