I understand to get really good then playing in front of people is vital, but how many hours a day should be spent djing to get to a professional standard?

Simple question really. Would be good to have some sort of estimate of what needs to be done

if you have to ask how much you SHOULD be practicing... i've got to wonder about your overall motivation to be a DJ puh

For awhile I've only been able to put in about two hours a week, and that was just to record my podcast...However, since I was pretty much switching to new tunes, and (a lot of times) new tempos I somehow became semi-competent :P

It doesn't matter how much you practice so long as you're dedicated enough, and, as the person above me said, you're having fun.

depends on what u want to achieve.

i mean to become level 2 u only need to 5 hours of djing, level 3 is 15, level 4 is 25, level 5 is 50, level 6 is 100, level 7 200, and so on. to become the MASTERPWNINGDJFTW (level 100) u shouldve been djing for 1000000 hours.

so just think of which level u want get, in how much time u want to become that level, and then it shouldnt be too hard to calculate how many hours u should spend a day.

hope this helps, good luck mate! right
