Ok guys i am willing to spend some of my moneys to buy a new mixer but i am stuck between the Numark 5000fx and the Pioneer Djm-400 and i cannot make up my mind!

The Numark one does have 5 channels and an extraordinary effects system with the "reverse" function.
But from the other hand i don't know how good Numark is and the 5000fx is too cheap for a 4/5 channel mixer (i think). Also the majority of clubs and bars use Pioneer ones so it would be better to learn in Pioneer environment.

From the other hand i would love to have the Pioneer djm-400!If not the best then one of the best 2-channel mixers with great quality and nice effects system. But it is still a 2-channel and expensive.

What do you guys suggest?? Is there anyone who have used both of them??

Pioneer gives way better sounds then the Numark. Try testing them. I always want a mixer to "kill" the sound when I turn all EQ off.

As for effects. I would buy traktor or serato and a midi controller for some good effects.

Yes the Pinoeer can kill the EQ. I worked once with the Numark and I didn't like it very much. But I am not you, maybe you will like it. I 'd say, go to a shop and test them bolth grin2

piooner djm 400 are overated in my opinion, but I trust in the quality of building, and sound of piooner's mixers. I cannot say the same thing about numark.

Quality products are expensive. Get the 400 and call it a day. Do you have any dreams at all of becoming a world touring DJ, or even a club DJ? If so then get the feel for Pioneer mixers, or get a Xone 4D and add a numerical value into you're DJ name.
