Looking around the net, it seems like Numark DJ MIDI controllers has loads of bad comments bout them.

Any comments on other brands such as Gemini/Stanton/Vestax/Denon?

I could go on for ages about the various DJ brands and whats good/whats not. You seem like you're looking for a midi controller, why not just say that.

What is it you are wanting? CD players? Turntables? Midi controller? What?

mum if you ask me for trusted brands, I say piooner, allen & heat, technics, sennheiser.

if you asked me about brands with cheap equipment, but trusted anyway, I say american audio.

There are literally hundreds of brands out there. If you're wondering about a few in particular then feel free to ask. There are also reviews everywhere as mentioned earlier.

Hope you understand happy

I have Numark Total Control. It's my first dj controller so I can't tell you much, but I try happy
A lot of people have problems with running it, but when you download drivers from their site all will be ok.
...I DIDN"T have this problem with mine. Just read that something like this is possible.

Pitch band doesn't work well I think. when you move it up, sometimes goes by 0.3 sometimes 0,2... Bad thing.

I can say that Jogs are nice really nice and comfortable.

I like working on Ableton with it. You can map around 60 different knobs, faders etc. so you can do with it whatever you want. One "-" is that lights don't work in Ableton, but I don't care.

Overall, It's really nice controller with lots of functions. It isn't too big, too small, it's perfect for beginners (as me) and semi-advanced. happy

I've got the Numark Stealth quite some time ago.

Damn solid, except for the crossfader and the spinny jog wheel.

Now I feel like selling my Stealth and opt for the Reloop Digital Jockey 2 because it has bigger Play/Cue buttons, better and high resolution pitch fader (which has been pissing me a lot when I try to beatmatch by ear instead of pressing easymode). A little worried though because I can't find a lot of info or reviews on it.

my first equipment is american audio cdi 100, there the lowest of the lows as to what ive seen priced for cdjs, but they do the job pretty well. small jog wheel yes, but its pretty smooth, nice pitch and faders very smooth running, the pitch controls arent accurate like pioneer cdjs, but every 20 ~ 40 sec or so i can just do a little dab on the jogwheel and it stays in sync again, nothing too bad about them.

im honestly surprised AA can make some reliable equipment, considering its an american brand alienhead

but id say stay the hell away from gemini, nothing but bad reviews, missing functionality, and all look but no action with those things. (but the execution ten is an awesome oldie mixer that i still use ^^)
