| Quote: | Maybe it’s something totally different than you had expected. Cause once you’ve
put on this cd, you won’t hear any electronic beats. No synths, no riffs and no
rough edged melody either. No, this release is something completely different.
It’s pure relaxation. This selection of tracks is, as you might have noticed,
a pack of some of the biggest trance classics around. But not as you know them!
These tracks have been ‘trancelated’ into totally orchestral versions.
So what you get is an album with 15 of the most beautiful classical hits,
to let go of all your worries and stress. Fact is, that these beauties will get
the liking of not only trance lovers, but also has a good shot at being loved by
parents, grandparents and non-EDM fans.
Perfect for a quiet, cozy sunday afternoon to give your ears some rest and bring
back some warmth in these cold days around Christmas. The man behind this
compilation is Finnish producer Petri Alanko, who has worked under his Lowland
guise several times and brought out a range of releases, one including a team up
with Orkidea, resulting in massive trance track ‘Masochrist’.
This Finnish flautist studied in Helsinki and Freiburg, Germany and has won
several admirable prices for his outstanding performance. But there’s more to it
He works with the Finnish Chamber Orchestra and is also a teacher nowadays.
And now he’s got another successful project finished. He turned tracks like
‘Energy 52-Café Del Mar’ and ‘Armin Van Buuren-Communication’ into breathtaking
orchestral compositions which all have their special touch.
Whether you like your music emotional, joyful or sensitive, with
‘Classical Trancelations’ you’ll have guaranteed listening pleasure.
Just make sure you’re prepared for a big dose of shivers.
Classical Trancelations already received tremendous support by some of the
biggest dj’s around.
We’re pretty sure you will fall in love with this one.

13.Pulser - My Religion (Orchestral Version) 3:48
14.Armin Van Buuren Feat Jan Vayne - Serenity (Orchestral Version) 4:44 |
Just WOW Listened to the whole CD and it's better than I expected. Really have no bad comments about this. (except that it should've contained more trakcs) The volume of the intruments are very nicely arranged, like you would expect from a orchestra.
My top 3 of this CD:
1: Armin Van Buuren Feat Jan Vayne - Serenity
2: Solarstone - Seven Cities
3: The rest.
But I wouldn't advice to just go and buy it. Some might find it boring, so check Youtube or the Armada website to hear it first and then get it. . . A.S.A.P |

I'm guessing these weren't actually recorded live then, it sounds way too 'digital'. With the Orchestral version of 'Out Of The Blue' you can tell it's been performed live, and even though it gets a bit repetitive it's still enjoyable to listen to. This compilation sounds more like a collection of chillout mixes than orchestral versions. Disappointing, it looked so promising too.
The two Slusnik Luna versions have been around for a long time, so obviously they drafted Peter Lowland in to do the rest, ideally they should have got Jan Vayne to do them with a proper live orchestra. |

| Sounds exactly how its done (with software instruments). It just doesnt work, classical tracks shouldnt be remixed into trance tracks nor vice versa. |

I disagree with that, you can't exactly say Ferry's version of AFS "didn't work", even if you don't like the track.
In fact I disagree with you on both points, this album would be fantastic if a full orchestra had performed them live. |

Well yea ok theres a few tracks out there that were successfully remixed and then theres thousands tracks that pretty much raped the original classic composition.
And PVD performed with an live orchestra few years ago and you can go to tranceaddict to read how horrible it was. And without forgetting that recent even here on trance.nu, whatever it was called. |
