Which part of house being a) electronic, b) dance oriented, and c) music, do you not grasp?

There are millions and yet millions of people out there who prove you wrong on a daily basis. The reason you need hardstyle to be able to dance is probably more down to you being a 22-year-old Canadian. Would it be safe to assume that you're white? wink

Those people are wrong puh. I was just using hardstyle, as an example. It has more dance elements than house does. Though, there is a lot of garbage hardstyle out there, which shouldn't be even be music. But I was just using that as an example, that even a genre like hardstyle you can dance to, compared to house, random it maybe, but, there are few you can dance to... tunage

Trance is more atmospheric. I love the melodic stuff and pure euphoric stuff.

As for white, I can say the same thing about you puh.

Yes, you could. And you would be right. I'm 28, white, and a horrible dancer. Was that supposed to work to your advantage? puh

Last time I was at the club it was easier to dance house when it's more rhythmic than trance even though trance had higher BPM. And I listen trance at home more than house.

Something here doesn't add up.

Cue: "hardstyle sounds more like the kind of music they call dance/eurodance than does house, so consequently hardstyle has to be more of a dance music than is house."

It was only used as an example. I will admit, that hardstyle can be one of the weird sh*t you have ever heard...heh...but, there is a dance element to Hardstlye. Especially the older ones like Floorkilla(Bultonium boy vs DJ neo Mix)- DJ Pavo. That was an awesome Track I have to admit. Then after 2003 it got creepy...House has weak elements of dance music. It lacks it quite a lot.

Trance has the added goodness of euphoria tunage It has that emotional edge that makes you go hip...

House is by far the best form of dance music to dance to, a constant rhythm, no breakdowns, and lots of groove...learn to dance kid.

that's debatable. you can get a beer during a breakdown... also a breakdown helps people build back emotion and energy, and allows the Dj to act like he's the shit even though he's not doing anything! lol. wink

House invented the elements of dance music. In the beginning there was House and everything else followed. Whatever House "lacks" are debatably things were taken from it (or removed from it) and changed to something else in the first place.

One thing that was added to house music: Good Melody

One thing that was taken from it: Annoying clanking sounds that repeat themselves for 8 minutes.
