While I pick through the wreckage of last night, one truth stands clear in my mind – Joni Ljungqvist is a nutter! The same goes for his mate Carl B, who was ‘trying’ to DJ around him which surmounted to one of the biggest train wreck debuts in Turnmills history. Granted they played some decent trance tunage but boy couldn’t they mix. Top moments. Joni dancing like a man posessesed. Joni refusing to come off for the next DJ (even though it had been Carl’s set). Joni irritating said DJ by pulling the plug causing the poor guy three attempts to start his set (plus he was Armin van Buuren!). Joni MCing. Joni being carried out kicking and screaming by security (unconfirmed reports).
Seriously though you guys both rock and we hope to welcome you back soon! You certainly made your mark on one of London’s most histrionic venues. We salute you!
