Ratty - Sunrise ; it's an amazing track cept no one knows who provided the vocals for it.

anyone have a clue or vague idea? it's been like a mystery?!

I only know that Ratty is an alias from the members of ... Scooter! Yes, that's right!

I have no clue about who did the vocals though ...

Knowing Scooter though the vocals were probably stolen, I mean sampled from someone else.

It's the same vocals that are in Lost Witness - Did I Dream (Song to the Siren), so I presume they're the same singer. Try and search for that too

i believe the original version "a song to the siren" was released in the 70s or so by tim buckley. then there was an acapellaish version by this mortal coil, beautiful. and then fable did his version and then lost witness, and then ratty, and then a version by barraka.
ratty's version is no doubt the worst of them..

i prefer the fable version or the "this mortal coil" version

it is not. the vocals in that chemical brother track are sampled from a "dead can dance" track "song for sophia".
dead can dance songs are also sampled in tracks "future sound of london - papua new guinea" and "orkidea - unity"

Ratty version is by far the best actually. Barraka's version is boring as hell altho Jean-Phillips Remix was quite nice. Lost Witness' original was nice but had awful remixes. Nothing touches the legend that is the Ratty version. A true Trance anthem.

It could be the same women. The track your thinking about is Jigga Jigga. Looking back tho the vocalist in Jigga Jigga and Sunrise sound remarkably similar so perhaps the answer to this thread is H.P. Baxter's sister.
