| Who was Tiesto's engineer around the time of 2000? Was it Ronald Van Gelderen? I was listening to the Tiesto remix of Green Court - Shining yesterday and it's really fucking good, I'm not usually a fan of his stuff, but he did a few good remixes around that time, i.e. Surreal - You Take My Breath Away etc. |

I don't think it was Ronald. I heard that Ronald was only credited on Suburban Train, and that was because they used parts from Ronald's original track (I forget which one right now) in the Tiesto track.

Perhaps Ferry?
|
I VERY much doubt that, nothing even slightly ferry about it, I'm sure the only worked together on the Gouryella and Vimana stuff which was all pre 2000. I never realised though that Urban Train was based on a track/or parts of by RvG, I thought he co-produced it, is it a similar thing to PvD - Nothing But You, which used elements of the Hemstock & Jennings track and credited them by saying 'featuring'? |

I wasn't out to belittle him in any way, just curious as to who he was working with at that time, as I wouldn't mind hearing some of their solo efforts. |

Yeah I thought that until recently, but I had an interesting conversation with someone about Tijs at the weekend who gave me some interesting info about what happens in the Tiesto studio.
I don't know who engineers the majority of Tiesto tracks. I know someone who does, but they wont tell me.
I think some of the recent stuff, for example the Parade of the Athletes album, had a strong influence from Montana, and I know Cor Fijneman engineered for Tijs on Sparkles and Theme From Norfjell but I really don't think either of those guys are good enough producers to have made the likes of the Silence remix, the Surreal/Goldenscan remixes etc... Those tracks really are the work of a fabulous engineer. |

well, as i said.. geert huinink is my guess. He (and alco lammers) are behind Photon Project.. and Enlightnemnt and illumination are both powerful tracks so they sure know how to make powerful music |
