Are you lookn for producing software...or dj software?

...regardless, Ableton 8 does both. If youre lookn for the easiest route for producing you should get yourself a copy of FL 9.

Get the vengeance sample packs, and you can start your uphill climb.

get reaper demo, use for 30 days and its only 10 mb and comes with everything u need, actually the trial extends longer ( im way passed the 30 day mark and im still using it) probably one of the best daws i have ever used, the power of pro tools recording and editing power with the technical of logic pro. yea it may not be the simplest software around, but if you can understand and work with it it really starts to shine amongst all the others

Also one of the best and most valuable dance music resources I have ever come across is this...

http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Music-Manual-Tools-Techniques/dp/0240519159/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1261351747&sr=8-2

It's not the cheapest book but it and the newer addition both have absolutely invaluable information on production, promotion, mixing, everything.

Also I'm not typically one to buy a book like this next one but it's solid. Interviews with some of the industries godfather DJ and producers. This is defintiely geared more towards DJing and playing out. AWESOME INFO!!!!

http://www.amazon.com/How-DJ-Right-Science-Playing/dp/0802139957/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1261351900&sr=1-1

Best of luck!!

i'm looking to mix and produce but at the same time looking for something with a user friendly interface. i've dl'd some other programs and didn't know where to start. heard some good things about FL 9. i've been in the trance scene for as long as i can remember. so i think its time to take it to the next level.

For DJing? Definitely Virtual DJ. It has a complete DJ workstation layout, with easy to use Sync and Cue controls and a crossfader. You can get the 30-day trial or buy the product.[/url]
