So this bar where I am playing tomorrow doesn't have CD decks! They say the DJs usually bring their computers.
I use CD's for mixing, so can anybody recommend a good and free DJ computer software for Mac?

Thanks!

I wouldn't play at a place that wouldn't provide me everything I needed to mix...

why dont you just pack up your cdjs and bring them there? i would't risk it, learning some new software in one day

+ 1 dude..!! I work in a club, and what you should do is call the club and find out if anyone's gunna be there in the afternoon before doors open (there's always gunna be someone). Go there, put in your CD decks, test your CDs, and you're ready to rock. People using computers will not be using those channels on the mixer and so they won't need to touch it.

This is a lot better than putting in your cdj's towards the end of someone's set.

I was reading about a freeware open source version of dj software made special for Mac the other day, it was called Mixx...I couldn't figure out how to work it tho, but I'm a neanderthal when it comes to software mixing blushing

problem with free software is they can be apain to configure. even getting solid software installed on your system, and stable, and learn to use it for a gig in one day is asking a bit much.
maybe borrow a computer that already works on a friends software if you can or better yet take your own cd deck
