It's 12 years training, though 3 of those are in a professional environment, after which you fill out a log-book and then (provided your log book is upto standard) you should qualify as a professional DJ.

well, first you gotta upload your kick sample into something like fruity loops. then you export it as an mp3 file with a bitrate of 32 or something. (the lower the better.) thumbsup thumbsup then, repeat this process, but this time when you export it, make sure that you reverse the sample before doing so. then you take both of the samples and load them into something like audacity or sound forge. pan one hard left and one hard right and then export them both as one sample. now, import them into photoshop (ms paint will work, but photoshop's pen tool is extraordinary for this) and, on the wave form, draw a slight ramp-down starting at the initial high pitched click of the "hit" and ending as the wave form begins to tail off. this will make that baby smooooooth if you know what i'm sayin. thumbsup thumbsup now, for the most important part, burn this file onto a cd and put the cd in your microwave for no longer than 17 seconds. now, glue the cd to your monitor and punch yourself in the dick.

i think there are two stickies regarding this.

It's quite easy to learn. Just open ableton live and close it. Then open internet browser, navigate to beatport and autoplay trance top 100. You might think 64kbs is bad quality but it actually makes trance sound better.

Just buy your way into the clubs and play your iphone, the darker the club the better. if youre really wealthy supply the candy and chances are youll be in top 5 of DJ mag by 2011.
