Inspired by drunken fishermen. I have turned down remix offers from Armin, Ferry, Tijs and PvD because they would ruin my original.
Features heavy usage of Accordion VST, GM Trumpet, vocals and random vocal pitch programming.

I'm not amazed by the overwhelming response, it is a pretty awesome track.
It was featured in DJ Jean-Luc de Pierre-Marcel's radio show France Around the World and Super8+Tab's A Jew knows beats worldwide radioshow.

Let's see, how to translate trøndertrall. A trønder is a person from Trøndelag county, Norway. Trønders are considered the pioneers of accordionwaltz and pubsinging, thanks to the band D.D.E and the TV-show Rorbua, in which old people from Trøndelag and further north tell jokes and stories with what seems to be a semi-drunk audience. The audience laughs at jokes such as the one where a guy shits out the window of a train, and two ladies say they thought the recognised the guy with the big cheeks and cigar when the train passes by a train station, with the guy's ass out the train window. Trall is simply slang for sang, which means song, hence: Trøndertrall. |
